Color Options Revisited
« on: April 11, 2011, 07:02:30 PM »
I would like to express how I would love a Black Empulse.  When I ordered my Empulse 10.0 (#908) I was told that Red was the only color option.  However I would like to think that if I'm willing to throw down $14k on a new technology that I would be able to have at least the option of picking the color of my choice?  I'm sure this is an easy fix and not much of an issue, but I wanted to get some sort of feedback regarding what was told to me at the time of my order.
I'm extremely excited and absolutely can't wait for my bike to be delivered.  Gas prices in S.FL (as I'm sure everywhere) are completely out of control...
 :)

Im right there with ya. Brammo offers multiple colors for the Enertia (including black for the Enertia Plus) and I would be very surprised if they didnt offer different colors for the Empulse when the production version is revealed. Clearly black is the most popular color in the poll I had on my blog a while back:

My Empulse will be black.

I've never had a green motorcycle.  Seems appropriate for this one. ;D

Thanks EmpulseBuyer. I voted a couple of weeks ago (of course for black)... I was born and raised in "The Big Easy" (New Orleans) so that makes me a true die hard Saints fan. So the Black & Gold runs deep with me.  Someone posted something on your website about not seeing a white one. Although I wouldn't want white I'm sure that would look cool too especially a bright pearl white. Skuzzle makes a good suggestion, the green would be great but more like a deep forest green like Ford offered on the '94 Mustang GT back in the day. I love that color green.

Personally, I prefer red, orange, yellow or lime green. The reason for that is that bright colors show up better in traffic and also attract attention to the motorcycle, which is something that would seem to be a good idea if you want people to come over and ask you questions about electric motorcycles.   :)

Thought about that too... could also be more of a problem at night but Im just not a flashy colors kinda guy. Red would be my second choice if black wasn't available for some reason.

Well I'm not sure how this actually looks but there are several products like this on the market and this seems to be something that I would take a chance and spend >$50 to give it a try...
The product is called Black Magic and is a Super Reflective black tape/pinstripe that can't really be seen during the day against a black frame, helmet or rims.  At night it's super bright reflective and can be seen from long distances (almost a mile).  If applied TACTFULLY my actually be nice at night and may save a life...  It can also be applied to a helmet or backpack.  I bought the Black HJC IS-MAX Bluetooth helmet and may put the SuperBright Black Magic Flame decals on it, but we'll see...
To me it's worth a shot...

Voted - Black, orange, yellow and grey.
Black will probably be my first choice too, but just from a visibility stand point while driving around, I might opt for a brighter color...
A mid night Blue would look nice too...

Could always wear bright and reflective gear too. A lot of street riding equipment has the reflective stripes as well. Perhaps ICON has some Brammo gear coming that will help us stick out from the crowd more.

Yes Sir! I also bought the Icon Squad 2 Mil-Spec for the reflective stuff... Plus looking to add something to so shoes and some iron on reflective material.
I would also like to see Brammo hook up it's first 1,000 Empulse buyer's with some free swag.
Ex. Brammo Jacket, Brammo Bike Cover, etc.

1st choice, black
2nd, super black
3rd,  xtra black
4th, remove everything red and bring parts to the paint shop for black.

A motorcycle is invisible in traffic, it DOES NOT matter how bright the color is. SO black it is.

I really liked the previous RR color scheme...no real coherent theme color-wise, but I love that black nose...

With the Plus I picked Black...but while I'm waiting, well I don't love the green, but I would gladly take the Enertia TTR as a loaner...it's not like it is getting raced right now :)

The Enertia TTR is basically the street Empulse powertrain (8kwh lithium ion pack, water-cooled perm motor) shoved into an Enertia frame with $$$ suspension bits. I'd like to ride on that too : )
