White Noise Empulse
« on: June 27, 2012, 11:38:22 AM »
Just posted on the Brammo Facebook page:

What say you, Empulse lovers?  Prefer the white?

Frankly, I'd vote for a name change on the color.  My favorite: "Shrinking Ice Cap White"

Yeah, the White Noise is my favorite Empulse...

Noise is an interesting choice of names for an electric...

White Blast? hmmm, maybe too explosive.

White Mare....a take on Nightmare, and the horsepower? Hmmm, kinda goofy.

Ionic White, Nuclear White, SuperNova White....something to do with power

or just White Noise :)

White Noise is actually pretty clever for an electric motorcycle. It's an unnoticeable noise, sometimes even peaceful noise. The very opposite of what hogs bring to the table (see the South Park episode about Harley Davidson riders for a good reference/laugh).  8)

I still like the black better. The red is o.k., but I think red looked much better on the prototype bike.

I had myself down for a white one, but that was in prototype form.  With the production version, it looks like a black bike with a white cap.  To me, it needs more white.  The way I see it now, I'd find places to add more white or go the complete opposite way and black the heck out of it.

Hey, I have an idea for the name.

It's simple, recognizable, serviceable, functional, like the Empulse.

So... here it is:

White

I prefer the red.  I liked white a lot when everyone first started using that color...around 2006.  Since then I've decided bright colors suit flashy vehicles better.  To each their own  :)

Sounds like it is time to redo your color photoshop thread on www.empulsebuyer.com with the new bike, and a new poll on colors.  Yearly color changes seem to be pretty common in the motorcycle world, no reason not to get Brammo some ideas for future model years.

White Lightning rolls off the tongue a little more easily.

might have to leave the lightning color names to these guys:

http://www.lightningmotorcycle.com/

That would avoid this problem:

Dude 1:  What you ride?
Dude 2:  I've got a lightning white Empulse
Dude 1:  Oh, a Lightning?  I heard they made some pretty cool EV motorcycles, but I didn't think they were selling any street bikes yet.
Dude 2:  No, Lightning doesn't sell street bikes, I've got a lightning white Empulse.
Dude 1:  But you just said Lightning doesn't sell street bikes, how can you have one if they don't sell them?
Dude 2:  Arg!  First Base!!
