Bit of a change...(FINAL!)
« on: May 31, 2013, 08:10:51 PM »
I had the guys who wrap and clear bra my cars do the Empulse.  I asked to do a cafe racer kinda look.  This is what he texted to me....looks interesting!  Good thing is it acts like clear bra so no worries about scratching the tank with my jacket etc...also it looks like he satin cleared the carbon fiber!

Can't wait to see the final product!

Dude that is sick! I was thinking about getting my tank cover painted as well... this could be an even better option. Very cool!

you should really consider a wrap!  there are so many colors available now you can change it to what ever you want.  There are the classic "matte" colors, but now there are brushed metal colors, chrome, metallics etc...

the best part is it's super easy to clean and maintain and totally reversible!

Also, the pieces on the brammo aren't that complex, so I bet even a DIYer could do it.

and, you could just go with a clear too like a clear bra to protect the paint!

I was throwing around the idea of a iridescent / matte copper. Kinda goes with the electric theme. BTW how much does another tank cover cost? (I guess I should just ask Brammo right?) I like the idea of changing my bikes looks depending on my preference at the time.

Matte copper, like a copper top battery? If so, you should also get bunny ears for your helmet. E.g. It keeps going, and going,...

Thats pretty cool! Wondering where I could get a wrap done around the denver area. I will have to look into this. Thanks! BTW, got a pick of the finished work yet?

if your a car nut, it really is hot in the car world.  I would goto your favorite car forum and see who's wrapping in your area and look for feedback.  Denver is a big place!  There has to be car wrap guys.

Got the bike back today!  Trey of speedshieldusa.com said that when he brought it to Cars and Coffee Dallas on Saturday everyone was like wow electric bike!  But it kinda looks like an old school cafe racer...LOL perfect!  Just what I was looking for.

Anyways, I think it came out great with a nice blend of colors.  It looks really good in person.  I hope these pics capture it.  What's nice is not only the aesthetics, it's also the ability to change it on a whim AND protect the bike from everyday scratches.

Anyways, here are some pics.
