Rear passenger peg removal

This may be a stupid question but are the rear passenger pegs welded (not bolted) to the subframe? I'd look at it myself but I'm in Spain for the next couple of weeks.

Bolted with two hex bolts each side. I removed mine to look and see if I could do some sort of a top case mount.

Thanks all! I'm getting a TTX shock and apparently the passenger pegs have to be removed for it. Appreciate the info.
