I can't invest any more time into trying to fix this Empulse. Should I sell it as-is or scrap-it out for parts?

If you scrap it for parts you'll probably make more money off the bike then trying to sell a "broken" bike.  But you will have bike parts lying around.  If you can't spare the space it's probably best to just sell the whole bike.  The components on the Empulse are pretty good.  Sorry I can't be of much more help to you.  If you are looking for a replacement there is a Victory Empulse for sale in Morgan Hill I saw on facebook for about $7000.  At least if the Victory goes bad Spirit Motorcycles might be able to work on it.

Thanks for the tips. Don't really have the space to keep storing it. So will most likely look at selling, not to figure out pricing ...

Did you reach out to Polaris and request a new VCU? Simple remove and replace and most likely the culprit of the issue.

Here is an ebay listing for the Empulse TT VCU it's $852.  Is the Victory VCU compatible with the Brammo?

No idea if they are compatible, I'll do a little research and look into this

I wouldn't think there is VCU compatibility.  The electrical system is modified from the Brammo design with the Victory and the battery modules are not the same.  That being said it is possible but risky if you tried to do it.

I was looking at the diagram that german forum and between the two and looks like they are not compatible.  Best bet is to get another Brammo VCU or see if you can get yours repaired somehow like have the capacitors changed out.  Wish I was better at electronics.

I appears the brammo's don't hold much resale as I paid $3800 for a perfect condition unit and $1600 for a mildly damaged one. Weird thing is the replacement battery packs are $6400 but you can buy a perfectly good brammo for under 5K off cycle trader and much less if you search. While they aren't very old it is pretty old technology compared to what is available now.
