Strange ignition problem
« on: November 20, 2021, 11:31:56 AM »
Hi all,

In my 2013 Enertia plus, for some reason the position of the key when in the ignition does nothing.  To turn the bike off i need to pull the 4 amp hv 72 volt in fuse (bottom one on left)  When i put the fuse back in it  goes on and and stays on no matter what position the key is in until i remove the fuse.  I can completely remove the key and nothing changes.  Basically the key position in the ignition is doing nothing.

hi,Odogster
seems to me a short circuit. did you disconnnect the ignitionkey  and reconnected it?
Looks like some pins are bent and create a short circuit.

Do you mean just disconnect the small harness that goes to the ignition key hole?

if you remove the headlight you'll find the connector that leads to the ignition key(similar as in the picture)
If you disconnect it and put the fuse in place, the motor should not start. If you reconnect it and it starts without using the key you'll know there's the problem.
