Hello everyone, today I took my Brammo Empulse R for it's annual inspection for roadworthiness here in the UK . It has 15k miles on it now, I've put nine thousand of them on in the last 6 years. I check all the items ahead of the test, nothing to report. However when the inspector was testing it he found the number plate light to be out. I never realised it was a thing, never seen it!! The tail lamp lights, it's brighter when I apply any brake so all was well. Right. Well No. Visible, only when looking up from the number plate is a tiny lamp. Who knew?. Not me.
Good news is they changed it, added one pound to my bill and passed it (twenty nine pounds for motorcycle test fee). Well pleased. Might be something for others to check or am I the only one not to know it existed, on my other and previous bike the tail light performed this task.
Hopes this helps someone
