You think waiting a few months (okay, a year and a few months) is bad?  Check this out:

A Moscow automaker that wanted to prove the Russian auto industry had moved beyond making consumers wait ten years to buy tiny, inexpensive cars says there’s a ten year wait for its tiny, inexpensive car.

So I got tired of waiting for the Empulse to arrive and decided to spend the money that I had saved up for my purchase of the bike on installing new insulated windows in my home. I figure that the way things are going with the development and likelyl introduction of this model, I'll have plenty of time to save up the purchase price again by the time it goes on sale.   :(

Yep. I'm done waiting, too. Whenever they decide to release it, I'll go check it out in a dealership.

The way things are going, the Empulse will only hit the market around this time next year if everything goes without problems.

At the moment, they don't even have a date to start production. There are still tons of tests they will have to run with the new gear system and whatever else they find during the track and road tests.

I'm still a big supporter, but I can't do much "supporting" if the bike doesn't really exist.

That makes at least two of us Richard, I used my Brammo fund to remodel my house and get a new kitchen :D
I guess we have enough time to start saving again, I don't see us getting our hands on it till mid next year at the rate things are going...
Any sooner than that would be a nice 'surprise' but if I don't have enough saved up I guess I'll just put it on a credit card or something...

I'll wait,no hurry. SWMBO still is in the dark on this project........besides, I'm still window shopping for riding gear and such.Suggestions for online sources? I'm on the 'plus' side of size. ::)
For financing the bike? Well use a little credit from time to time so the whole line is good for delivery day. Remember what FDR said about national debt? "We only owe it to ourselves." ;)

Ha!  "SWMBO" ... I have one of those, too.

I've bought gear from Motorcycle Closeouts (they have an actual store near me), Motorcycle Superstore,  Revzilla, Amazon... etc.  Depends on what you're looking for.  If it's a helmet, you'll definitely want to try it on before you buy.
